In 2005, at the direction of the Diocese of Metuchen Office of Schools, the former CMHS Advisory Board was re-organized into a Diocesan School Council, with members representing business and professionals, alumni and alumni parents and CMHS staff. According to the by-laws, the purpose of the Council is “to foster the highest possible standards of academic instruction and religious formations for the students enrolled in CMHS by assisting and supporting the Principal and the administration in

…in developing and implementing the strategic plan, goals and objectives…
For the past year the Council has been working with the school administration to prepare a 3 Year Strategic Plan that has as its focus nine areas of the school, including Curriculum, Technology, Governance, School and Community, Facilities, Finances, Staffing, Enrollment and Development/Marketing.This plan will be presented to the Diocese of Metuchen in September, 2009 and be used as the driving force behind all future Council activities.
Officers of the Council are President Robert Blache, Vice President William Schwarick, ’63 and Secretary Sarah Conlon ’79.The other members of the Council are William Bauer, Rev. James Hagerman ’71, William Tarallo ’82, Joseph Pohl '63 and Suzanna Spitalere.Principal Jean Kline, Advancement Director Maureen Kemble and Business Manager Charles Apuzzo are also part of the Council and Mrs. Janet Sienko is the faculty representative.
