Library Rules

Ā

The Cardinal McCarrick High School Library (CMHS) is available to the student body, faculty and staff.  Students may use the room during the school day with their class or individually with a pass.   It is also available for use before and after school.

Books may be borrowed for a two week period, and may be renewed with approval.  Students should have a current CMHS identification card to borrow books.

A find of $.05 per day is charged for overdue items.  Students owing a fine may not borrow other material until that fine is paid.

Lost books should be reported to the Librarian immediately.  The charge for replacement will be the current price of the book.

Reference books and magazines may be used in the library.

Books on reserve may be borrowed overnight only and must be returned before first period the next day.  There is a $.10 per day fine for overdue reserve books.

Students shall comply with the CMHS Technology Agreement.  Computers are to be used only for curriculum-related work.  They are not to be used for games, personal email, social networks or inappropriate websites.

Food, drinks, candy and chewing gum are not permitted in the library.

Failure to observe library rules may result in the student being denied library privileges.
