Cardinal McCarrick High School Prepares Our Students For The Challenges Of The Future Based On A Foundation Of Strong Catholic Traditions.
Therefore, we commit ourselves to:
Instill in students the moral and spiritual principles of the Catholic Faith enabling each member of the community to enjoy a personal relationship with God.
Develop a diversified, individually adaptable curriculum which is responsive to the ever changing needs of the global, civil, technological, multicultural, ecclesial world; which will enable the student to participate in this contemporary society.
Create a stimulating academic environment, where the students’ talents are identified, developed and expressed; while being challenged by a caring, competent faculty.
Labor to create situations which allow students the freedom to practice mature decision making skills, which result in responsible behavior, intelligent self-direction and self discipline.
Promote the ideals of family life and to defend human life against every influence and action that threatens or weakens it.
Recognize the dignity of each individual encouraging him/her to search for the meaning of life, high self-esteem and personal fulfillment.
Promote peace, healing and reconciliation among the school community so that no one will feel alienated, unloved or forgotten.
Participate actively in the struggle to achieve political, social, economic justice within the school community and society at large.
